Sheila Heen Bio
Sheila Heen teaches people how to improve their influence, and manage their most important personal and professional relationships. She is the co-author of The New York Times Business Bestseller Difficult Conversations: How to Discuss What Matters Most (Penguin 2000), which is used by business executives, marriage counselors, executive coaches, mediators, astronauts, hostage negotiators, diplomats, therapists, teachers, parents and even tango teachers to help people talk through disagreements and frustrations. Sheila teaches Negotiation at Harvard Law School, and has been an affiliate of the Harvard Negotiation Project for 15 years. She has been featured on Oprah, CNBC's Power Lunch, Fox News and National Public Radio. Her articles on negotiation have appeared in Oprah's O Magazine, Fortune, USA Weekend and Real Simple magazine.
A graduate of Occidental College and Harvard Law School, Sheila is schooled in negotiation daily by her three children.
